By accessing and using svg.dog, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service.

2. Description of Service

svg.dog provides an SVG optimization and compression service via a web interface and REST API. The service reduces SVG file sizes while preserving visual appearance. It is provided "as is" without any warranties.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service to engage in any illegal activity
Send intentionally malicious or harmful SVG files
Attempt to circumvent rate limits or other protective measures
Use automated tools to make excessive requests that could degrade service quality
Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the service

4. Intellectual Property

SVG files processed through our service remain the intellectual property of their respective owners. svg.dog does not claim ownership over any uploaded or optimized content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to optimize any SVG file you submit.

5. API Usage & Billing

Anonymous usage is limited to 20 optimizations per day. Free API keys include 500 optimizations per month. Usage beyond the free tier requires a Pay-per-Use subscription and is billed monthly in arrears as described on the pricing page. No minimum commitment — cancel anytime.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

svg.dog is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding:

The availability or uptime of the service
The accuracy or visual fidelity of optimized SVG output
The suitability of the service for any particular purpose

We recommend verifying optimized output before deploying to production.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, svg.dog and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke API keys that violate these terms, including but not limited to abusive usage patterns, non-payment, or sending harmful content.

9. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Place of jurisdiction is Düsseldorf, Germany.
